Principal Investigator Contact Information Name: Scott W. H. Young Institution: Montana State University Library Address: P.O. Box 173320, Bozeman, Montana, USA 59717 Email: swyoung@montana.edu Date of data collection (single date, range, or approximate date): 201608-201609 Geographic location of data collection: Bozeman, Montana, 59717, USA Date files were created: 20170331 --------------------------------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION --------------------------------------------------- Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Participants first completed a survey questionnaire that measured familiarity with digital libraries according to a five-point Likert scale (1=very unfamiliar, 2=somewhat familiar, 3=neither familiar nor unfamiliar, 4=somewhat familiar, 5=very familiar) Participants then completed six tasks on six different digital library websites. Time-to-task was recorded in seconds using a digital timer. Following task completion, users completed a satisfaction survey and a frustration survey. Responses were recorded using a 5-point Likert scale (1=strongly disagree, 2=somewhat disagree, 3=neither agree nor disagree, 4=somewhat agree, 5=strongly agree). Websites were presented to participants in a randomized order. Satisfaction/frustration survey questions were presented to participants in a randomized order.
