Item The impact of science notebooks on student achievement in first grade science(Montana State University - Bozeman, Graduate School, 2013) Shern, Josie; Chairperson, Graduate Committee: Peggy Taylor.This project implemented science notebooks into science teaching. Students respond in their notebooks by writing and/or drawing after each treatment lesson. Notebooks were used to reinforce concepts and to increase student achievement. The use of science notebooks increased achievement for some students, but more importantly, became a favorite science activity for most.
