Chairperson, Graduate Committee: Peggy Taylor.Holtzhafer, Brian2013-06-252013-06-252012https://scholarworks.montana.edu/handle/1/1495The intent of this action research was to determine which presentation method of science fair project would benefit eighth grade students. Students are allowed to choose between a 10 minute oral presentation or a traditional tri-fold display board. Students were surveyed to determine their skills and beliefs and then provided with a recommendation as to which type of presentation would make them most successful. The results show no difference in success based on the type of presentation. The most important factor in science fair success was determined to be effort invested by the student not the type of project chosen by the student.enScience fairsMiddle school studentsScience fair success : helping students present their projectProfessional PaperCopyright 2012 by Brian Holtzhafer
