Deuteron NMR results on a 70/30 mole % random copolymer of deuterated vinylidene fluoride and normal trifluoroethylene are reviewed, for temperatures on both sides of the ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition of the crystalline portion of the copolymer. A calculation is presented for the deuteron quadrupolar NMR spin-lattice relaxation caused by kink-3-bond motions along disordered helical chains in the paraelectric phase.en_US
