In this investigation different strategies were implemented for the purpose of determining if students engaged in real world research projects based on their personal interest would find science more interesting. The findings of this project indicated mixed results; some of the data showed little if no difference, and other data, observations and interviews, showed students enjoyed researching projects of their own interest.en
