Description
The purpose of this paper is to develop tiro distinct reference sources for the ninth grade level in: (1) Introductory Ceramics (2) Introductory Metal Art. I intend to compile information to provide a resource for both student and teacher. This paper is based upon the expansion of curriculum standards and guidelines established for ceramics and crafts by the Half Hollow Hills School District, Melville, New York. Each reference source will be divided into three sections, (i) history, (2) materials and equipment, and (3) processes and techniques. It will organize and communicate the basic knowledge necessary to successfully complete the requirements for my students in each curriculum. The format for each area is essentially the same and understanding will be clearly derived from a justification for each of the three divisions.
