Abstract

We live in the Cenozoic Era, The Age of Mammals, but only 3% of Earth's mammal biomass are considered wild. Since before the Agricultural Revolution to the present date, humankind has always had an impact to make this statistic a reality. This has led to a global scientific debate on the renaming of the Holocene Epoch to be called the Anthropocene. This paper informs the audience of human's shared history with our planet, before the author then interprets it into a collection of visual art. With art's ability to concrete large and abstract ideas, the conclusive desire is to present knowledge as power, because much is needed to change culturally if our species is to survive. Will we accomplish what is required, or will humankind become yet another small marker within the Geologic Time Scale?
