Abstract

Through the impact of time, the spirit of an object or place is distilled by entropy and filtered through the lens of the present. I intend to argue that the intangible aspects of human interaction have the potential to imbue an object with a life of their own -- a sort of soul which allows them to communicate with the people who interact with them. They are able to gain a presence that is able to influence the actions and feelings of the observer.
